Q:
What are the business hours? We've stopped by at least a dozen times and they're always closed so we usually end up at Helms.
A:
I tried to stop in today (Wednesday) at 5, and they were closed so you're not the only one who's had this problem. I sense they won't last much longer.

The bartender/owner was super friendly! I give him props because he is a one man show & awesome at it!
There are just a few beers but they are pretty good. Fun board games & cool magnetic knick knacks. Peanuts & pretzels are on the house.
Weiss Domain (Belgian Witbier): Crisp & good.
Maxwell's Equation (Hard Rootbier): Mm, I love me some Hard Rootbeer! Delicious aftertaste.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 3, 2016
I absolutely have to show this place some love because it is a one man operation. That one man has a lot on his plate, but he's doing it well at Magnetic. It's a little hard to find because it's tucked back in an industrial building area, but it's a cozy spot with some chairs and free peanuts and pretzels on every tabletop. We had the pale ale, which would for sure hit the spot on a warm summer day. It's also dog friendly!

Digging this small little operation. Came here for a refreshment with a friend after going for a climb. I got the white ale, and she got the hard apple cider. There wasn't much available on the menu, but that was alright with me. I'd rather have a place have a few good drinks, than a bunch of mediocre ones. The white ale was light and tasty. I tried my friend's apple cider though, and that tasted amazing. If I go again I'll prob get that. It was fun getting to talk to the girl working behind the counter and play with the little magnets they have sitting around. Also, if you go try to solve the dang wooden box puzzle sitting on the bar!

Magnetic Brewing is truly a San Diego secret! The owner, Morgan, is very personable and will make you feel like you're getting a private tour of his brewery. Whether you have questions about the brewing process or just want to sit back and enjoy his amazing beers, you won't be disappointed. And speaking of his beers, I highly recommend the Magnetar (11% Belgian Quad), Flux (6.6% Amber), and Weiss Domain (9.4% Wit). If you want incredible San Diego beer served by the brewmaster himself, I've found no better choice than Magnetic Brewing!

Brewery just recently opened next to the station where I work as an EMT. After a long day, it feels great to to relax and grab a beer. Feels even better if the beer is amazing as these. There's even a chalkboard with all the beers that are being brewed, so you can anticipate when the next tap of awesome is ready.
The man of the establishment and head brewer, Morgan, is super friendly and will actually talk to you and get to know you. He's not only super knowledgable in beer and the brewing process, but also about the science behind magnets.
The place really lives up to its name and there are magnets scattered around the brewery, some for decoration, others safe for you to play around with. There's books on brewing and magnets there too, so you can read up on how the beer was made and about the concepts they're named after. Yes, the beers have super cool magnet-themed names!
There's nuts and pretzels for you to munch on and you get a small discount if you work around the vicinity! Guess you all know where to find me after my shifts now!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Daniel B.San Diego, CA3116792Jul 22, 2016
This is one of the newest and smallest craft breweries in SD, and if you want an up-and-close experience in an intimate tasting room and have a conversation with the brewer/owner, Morgan, then this is the right place.
The tasting room, stashed in the very back of a garage business center, is science-themed with kinetic sand and a magnet drawing board; it also has a few card games (like Cards Against Humanity).
You've got to come here at least once (Helm's is nearby) if only to experience what a small *microbrewery* is all about.
Oh, and the beer is excellent as well.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ron Jon D.Carson, CA12113Sep 22, 2015
I'm definitely a full time regular! Can't leave without having a growler full of Flux! I can't wait to go back! Morgan is the man you go to for any hop knowledge. I don't normally jump through Micros, I like this one just fine. Morgan makes you feel like Family. Thats all that matters. Quality not quantity! Keep it up Magnetic!

This place is awesome. I wish I could give it more stars. This is the smallest brewery I have ever been to. Probably only 8 seats. It is literally in a storage unit. It was great. Sat down at the bar and started to talk to Morgan. Very friendly and nice. Looks like he likes to make a wide variety of beer. Very good. This would be my go to if I lived there. I will def be back.
